Who she is:
Kate grew up in England, the daughter of a general practitioner who made house calls and knew that his most effective treatment was listening to his patients. Kate acknowledges this as a key influence in her work. As an only child she read prodigiously, drawn to philosophical, psychological and sociological writings. A long career with a variety of non-profit organisations, honed her skills at creating success at all levels of an organisation by working with and through colleagues and board members. While directing a multifunctional hospice program, she developed an extensive grief support program more than twenty five years ago before the notion of healthily addressing loss emerged in the public psyche. Since then she has continued to educate herself on grief, loss and trauma, and what it takes to find our way past the obstacles in our lives. Kate also has a Master's degree in Organisational Management, including some valuable coaching credentials from Fielding University (Skills Training - Evidence Based Coaching.) She is a PSYCH-K® facilitator, as well as a PSYCH-K® Health and Wellness facilitator, who has practiced since 2004. Other PSYCH-K®workshops taken include: Advanced, Divine, Integration, and Health and Wellbeing, 3 times. |
